established in 1983
Cody Palmer grew up on the farm where Prairie View Ringnecks is now located, and he purchased the acreage in 2005. Throughout his childhood, teenage, and college years, his family farmed and raised cattle. Their operation and livelihood revolved around their large hog operation. . . a continuous farrow to finish operation.
However, Cody and his brother always had a love and passion for hunting. He and his brother often guided pheasant hunters during the 1990s, and were consistently driven to wildlife, hunting, and the outdoors.
In 2001, when Cody returned home from college, he worked for his father in an insurance business and then spent another 13 years running the business - after his parents moved away from South Dakota. Danielle became a part of the business and in 2007, Cody and Danielle were married.
Because the facilities and space are ideal on their 40+ acre farm, Prairie View Ringnecks became a thought and dream - and then the actual planning and organizing began. Now the dream has become a reality which they are both passionate to serve!
The Prairie View Ringnecks pheasant farm is conveniently located in Lyman County just south of Presho, South Dakota, so customers no longer have to carve out four to six hours of your day for travel to pick up roosters. Nor will customers need to pay delivery fees for their birds. Clients can easily schedule time to come load their gamebirds as they need them. Now, customers no longer need to house them because they are already being taken care of and can be picked up daily as needed!
The facilities have been built for quick and efficient loading of pheasants. Whether a person needs twenty roosters or a thousand, those numbers can be accommodated. Prairie View Ringnecks provides the use of their crates for your transportation of them to your fields.
Cody and his wife, Danielle, look forward to supplying you with the game birds that will give you and your friends hunting experiences and memories to last a lifetime.
